I still keep wondering why people would want to hurt there own family. As for me if it comes to that ,protective order all the way…Why should I be concerned about them too.

I think the real reason why people are a little bit afraid of filing a family protective order, is just in case the person to which the order is against defiles the court and does more damage. I really think the court should try and make some legislation that makes these orders very sound and a must keep.

Most agree. Everyone have the right to control their own bodies. Even though sometimes family violence can be hurtful, some try to keep silence. I also recommend that anyone in this loop should see a lawyer immediately.

Those in closest contact with a victim of domestic abuse need to know that research shows that a woman is most at risk of harm when she is planning to leave an abusive relationship. So it is better for any woman in than kind of situation to get a protective order.

Once the court grants a Family Protective Order, it will be effective throughout the state of Georgia, and the abuser will have to follow the terms of the order. If your abuser violates the terms or the order, you can contact the law enforcement agency in your area and he can be arrested.

There are many barriers that can stand in the way of a woman trying to leave an abusive relationship that must first be overcome to achieve safety. That is why most people opt for protective orders,though it doesn’t guarantee full safety some times.

Despite what many people believe, domestic violence and abuse is not due to the abuser’s loss of control over his behavior. In fact, abusive behavior and violence is a deliberate choice made by the abuser in order to control you.Family or no family,get a protective order.
